Welcome to Triumph Power Generating Company Limited

Triumph Power Generating Company Limited was incorporated on 23rd October 2008. Its principal activity is generation of electricity.

In July 2009, KPLC launched an international tender (REF. KPLC1/9AD/PT/16.09-10) for 3 x 60 – 81MW diesel power plants to be developed under 20 years BOO. The plant will be constructed in Athi River zone, near Nairobi, and will run on HFO. Triumph Power who was prequalified participated in the above tender.

On 3rd February 2010 TPGCL was announced as one of the successful bidders and was awarded the right to negotiate with KPLC to develop an 81MW plant. The project is to be executed on a fast track. Construction is expected to commence in February 2012 and be completed after 12 months.
